A lot of people confuse the CFO with CEO but they are both very different things. The CEO is the chief executive officer and in charge of running operations while the CFO is also the treasurer and deals with financial related issues. He or she may deal with issues such as budget planning, insurance matters, tax issues and accounting and reports directly to the CEO of the companies. The CFO is usually the second highest paid position in the company right after the CEO.
